Week Six Prompt Response
To promote romance at the library, I would create a display highlighting contemporary romance novels inspired by classic novels and plays. My hope is that this would appeal to fans of the classics as well as avid romance readers. Some of the novels I would include are:
Pride, Prejudice, and Other Flavors by Sonali Dev
Inspired by Pride and Prejudice
Ramon and Julieta by Alana Quintana Albertson
Inspired by Romeo and Juliet
Much Ado About Nada by Uzma Jalaluddin
Inspired by Persuasion
Dating Dr. Dil by Nisha Sharma
Inspired by The Taming of the Shrew
I think that is a fun idea - there are so many modern day re-tellings of classics. This prompt is a little on the short side however, make it a little more robust this week.
